The Flint Police Ops Facebook app is used to publish posts to the Flint Police Ops Facebook Page through Meta's Graph API. We store only the minimum data needed to do that, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can remove the app and request deletion of your data at any time.
Option 1: Remove the App from Facebook
Removing the app immediately revokes its access to your Facebook account and any Pages you manage:
- Log in to Facebook and open Settings & privacy → Settings.
- Go to Apps and Websites (under "Your activity" or "Permissions," depending on your version of Facebook).
- Find the Flint Police Ops app and select Remove.
- Check the box to also delete posts, videos, or events the app published on your behalf if you want those removed, then confirm.

Option 2: Email Us a Deletion Request
To have us delete any data we hold about you — including Facebook-related data, newsletter subscriptions, or tip and event submissions — email news@flintpoliceops.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:
- Your name and the email address you used with us;
- Your Facebook name or the Page name involved (if the request relates to Facebook);
- A brief description of the data you want deleted.
What Happens Next
- We will confirm receipt of your request within 5 business days.
- We will delete the requested data from our systems within 30 days, including any stored Facebook access tokens and identifiers associated with you.
- We will email you once deletion is complete.
We may retain limited information where required by law or to resolve disputes, and content already published publicly on our Facebook Page or website may remain part of the public news record. Newsletter subscribers can also unsubscribe instantly using the link at the bottom of any email.
